Jay Kang is a small town mechanic who can’t seem to catch a break. Julieta Sanchez is a convenience store clerk by day and a singer by night who writes music about the type of tough girl she’s only ever dreamed about. Though they’ve both spent most of their lives in the same summer town on the Jersey Shore, they never ended up connecting after high school, always lingering on the outskirts of each other’s lives. An open mic night brings Jay and Julie together on the same stage, under the same name but will they be able to love each other through the self doubt that comes from being with another butch?
