Moonstone is a comic about the ambitious and bubbly Rose Universe, daughter of the much-loved Steven and Connie Universe. Joining the Crystal Gems as soon as she was born, she grew up learning the pure ways of the Gem. When the Crystal Gems have taken account of an evil fusion of two young Gems, they set out to stop it - Rose nearly killing the group only a few times. However, when their journey leads them to Steven's companion, Lion's home settlement. Upon finding it, Fire Howlite has brought war and terror to the peaceful kingdom. All the citizens are different animals, but share the same powers as Lion. So, they soon find the queen, a beautiful horse called Iridescent. Iridescent has been forced to step down as queen to avoid any more deaths. She joins the Crystal Gems and helps them battle Fire Howlite. Soon things turn even deadlier when Iridescent lets a secret out. Will it unite the Crystal Gems to defeat Fire Howlite, or will Rose's Moonstone crack?
