Bahnt and Damien are roommates at a prestigious art school—a fine arts major and a music major; the best of friends until Damien begins to become more vain in his physical appearance through the influence of Harrison, a photography major. Unknowingly to the three, they develop extraordinary skills called artistries. Damien writes a ballad in return for Bahnt’s painting of him, oblivious to the effects his artistry has.

In a world where a fruit can not only make you “beautiful”, but also extremely dependent, a dangerous substance emerges from it. Two unlikely, rather annoying, friends(?) find themselves dragged into the criminal narcotics case by a cowboy detective.
