Being an adult is no good either. Adults always have their faces bunched in a scowl, if not forced into expression. When you're an adult, you have to pursue something you like successfully. Though Kantus's mother is a widely renowned doctor and spiritualist, Kantus receives little to no attention from neighbors who only visit their lonely house when they are in need of special medicinal herbs. Because of this, Kantus has already experienced a string of fights and cruelties from the other children. Despite that, Kantus refuses to tell their mother in hopes of reducing her stress. As of late, Kantus has been losing sleep to nightmares of a furious fire and a blurry figure. The anger that Kantus feels in those dreams feels so real that Kantus tries to seek spiritual help to placate whatever is churning inside. But, it's all just a dream, right?
