A principios del año 2050, ocurre una enorme explosión que destruye una ciudad completa. At the beginning of the year 2050, a massive explosion destroys an entire city. The world is terrified by the thought of a new terrorist attack. All nations remain attentive to the results of a research aimed to uncover the source of such explosion. No criminal organization has claimed the attack; however, an unknown terrorist group sets up a plan to kidnap Commander Ichijo Isuma, founder of one of the most successful counter terrorist forces of the moment, Trident Division. Knowing that the terrorist group intends to kidnap his daughter as well, little Karen who is only eight years old, Commander Isuma leaves her to the care of a cadet of Trident Division, young Hiroaki Ikeda, a trainee of his liking at the service academy. Nevertheless, very soon the world will realize that the attack was no accident, nor was it a terrorist attack, when several of the main cities around the world share the same fate as the first one...
