Roslyn discovers there is in fact life beyond earth -millions upon millions of lightyears away- when she traces a carved out circle on an old castle wall and falls through the floor. Oblivious and running solely on her desire to survive, she latches to the first humanoid thing that speaks English, Jett, who morally can't bring himself to leave her struggling on her own. It also lends him some comfort to know there's someone else who barely understands his home planet.
