Milla Brookes is a novice witch and an aspiring writer. Fearing that her life is going nowhere, Milla decides to enroll in university to try and pursue her passion for writing. There she meets the pompous Oliver Moore. In class she takes an immediate disliking to the man. Meanwhile, her parents have other plans for her and decide to search for a proper suitor who shares their witch heritage. One of their choices, Blaise Atwell, proves to be a troublemaker despite his impressive lineage.
